Annie is a 10 year bay roan mare, but do not let that “mare” word scare you! This is one you will look long and hard for, and even be lucky if you find her after driving your wheels off of a new set.
Annie is 15.1 hands high, and is thick and made correct. Besides how gorgeous she is, she’s just as nice to be around. This mare makes you think she is a gelding with her demeanor and attitude. This mare came from a friend of ours down south that used her in everyday on the ranch and riding pastures. When she wasn’t working they took her and let the kids ride her in the arena and on the trails.
This girl is truly a barn favorite right now. We have horses in and out quite a bit, so I understand that this title fluctuates, but she has been here for some time and is a first pick to be ridden almost daily. We’ve had kids from 5-13 years old ride her, and she took care of them just like she does a season rider. If you’re looking for an all around family horse, this is her!
She will do a feedlot turn around, has a gelding personality, and comes with double the heart.
This mare checks off all of our boxes for desensitization with tarps, yoga balls, and even roping the mini cows. She gets treated like a show horse here living in a box stall, and saddles up everyday from fresh alfalfa like a seasoned pro.
No bucking, bolting, popping up in the front end, or sourness out of this gal. She is a total sweetheart! If this mare had papers, we’d have to hold her back for something bigger than a weekly gig.
